Why do Republicans on here think that "they" would be forced to pay for uninsured people's health care?

It seems clear to me that the majority of the impetus would be placed on employers who are shamefully not providing health care to their employees... isn't that a fair thing to ask of a company making millions on the back of their employees? Basic health care?
