Why are conservatives so opposed to an national amnesty plan?

Truth be told Conservatives want brown people to work (and VERY cheaply) , but, amnesty and a possible path to citizenship would mean that someday they will vote. The GOP does NOT want those people (or anyone with enough sense to vote for their own best financial interests) anywhere near a voting booth
