My mother wont stop playing her harp, she practices all the time.?

I decided she should stop as i dont like the harp so i asked her nicely and she said no. I tried few other methods such as cutting the strings with bolt croppers but she simply replaced them and never mentioned the incident to me. I have also tarred the strings with vandal grease, but she simply replaced that set too. I am becoming increasingly frustrated that she ignores my efforts to ween her off this instrument as it is for her own good, she spends atleast an hour a day playing and this cant be healthy she should be out working or something.
