How do you think I handled this?

ok your coach needs to learn the laws first off. but you acted just fine. i am a kicker myself and i do not enjoy hitting people i find it boring. its fun from time to time but not enough to play that position. i've told my coach and team i will NOT play anything other than kicker. they make fun of me but i just deal with it. but yeah if he is forcing you to do something you don't wanna do you shouldn't have to at all. so resigning if he forces is totally understandable. from one kicker to another.
